Tarantella's Recipe for a Box Office Film

March 30, 2013 - Website Content

Company Directors Sharad and Renu Sharan gave a talk on March 30 during the Asian International Film Festival & Awards (AIFFA) on how to produce a box office film in Malaysia. Sharad and Renu gave a simple solution. There is no such thing as a magic formula, for them it has been a trial and error process. They have found that the Malaysian audience will be attracted by a good starcast, popular stories and releasing the film with less competition from foreign films. Their key point was to give every step of the film making procedure detailed attention. "From pre-production until post-production, the movie goes through three very unique processes, each are interdependent upon one another" says Sharad. If your team is not organized and does not have a vision to achieve a certain goal, it will go nowhere points out Renu Sharan. The duo received loud applauses. Moreover, the festival was very successful as it ended with Sharad signing a contract with the Sarawak Ministry to promote the wonderful region in Tarantella's upcoming films.
